argggh!, alarm problems on L&K's

Featured Replies

does anyone have alarm problems with their Laurin and Klement?

Mine is a pain in the ***,

today its worked fine when i used the car, all day it didnt play up.

I get home and the led wont flash, the central locking worked off the fob, but no beep. Then no C/L, no alarm, no immobilser.

Then the C/L works when i turn the ignition from on to off.

I cant understand it, thats not even a function of the alarm!

why are they such a pain. :(

Is there any sign of water in the fusebox? Would point to the windscreen seal.

no that used to happen, but i checked there, and nothing.

(the remedy is cling film and duck tape over the fusebox)

its a Volkswagen Logic 600 alarm.

This is weird as the previous owner of my L&K had the alarm removed! Still have remote locking but no alarm on it... maybe they fitted dud alarms to the L&K or something?! lol

ahh see,

I like the alarm, its really useful,

some times i want to get rid of the alarm, thinking to myself ah bloody thing wont work properly 30% of the time, then again who's gonna nick a 12yr old rusty skoda

I cant find the box though, If i could find it, I can cut it out the loom.

But i can't find it...

I know that the controller for the central locking is behind the dash (behind the top, middle air vent) and I think this may also be the control for the hazzards when locked/unlocked as there is a relay click one/twice as they are unlocked/locked respectively (although my hazzards don't flash).

Don't know if this is the alarm controller too though...

humm i need to investigate further i think.

Theres nothing usefull on the internet about logic600 systems tho.

Oh and its working fine today like nothing had happened... why?

Crazy car.

Apologies for reopening old treads!

Found this while researching due to having accidentally set off my my alarm, same model and finding almost nothing!

Same alarm model on VW Golfs the main controller is mounted behind the speedo/rev counter area (apparently).
