A little questions...

Featured Replies

Will a Neuspeed front ARB be as good as an R32 front ARB on my vRS? I'm waiting on a price for an R32 front ARB but I think its going to be £150+ :(

Are the rear calipers the same on any other VAG car? My rear offside caliper is sticking on and it's doing my bleedin' nut in!

Will I benefit from fitting just a downpipe and sports cat? Or is it advisable to change the full system? Man that Miltek is pricey...

Last but not least, does anyone on here use wheel spacers? I don't think It'll be possible with 8x18s but you never know!

Thanks :D

Neuspeed IIRC comes in either 22 or 25mm and R32 is 23mm and costs around £65 just for the bar so you will need a pair of 23mm arb bushes around £25.

Rear calipers will need to be off a car with the same 256mm discs and make sure they are not off something which is 4x4 as they are slightly different.

Downpipe and sports cat will add a lovely sound but most importantly it will give more torque.Just pay for the Milltek or go for the APR one.

Dont' fit spacers.

Much the same to be honest if they are the same thickness. You can get R32 FARB cheaper if you either buy from none VAG dealers or EBay used items like I did for £50. A lick of paint and it was like new.

If you browse this parts site you can get the P/N from the Skoda one and compare with the other VAG car parts. You need to register to view it but it is free.

You will benefit as that part is the most restrictive, and a sports cat will free up better gas flow. Fitting a full system is the long term way to go.

It just so happens I have a Blueflame sports downpipe/cat for sale in the for sale section.

Why would you want wheel spacer for 18x8. These will just fit the arch with the correct offset. Possibly 3-5mm ones could be used to counter any different offset issues, but you need to be careful that the wheel does not hit the suspension strut.

Bowders, I don't particularly want them, I just now the MK4 Golf boys all fit them, I just wondered if it's something people did to their Octavias.

Jay, I've ordered the R32 ARB bushes, I'll pop to VW to ask them for a price on the ARB. Thanks mate.

Oh and Bowders, what's the score with your Blue Flame kit? Have you bought a new pipe? How much do you want for it.

Thanks for all your help!!!

Oh and it was supposed to read 'a few little questions' Doh!
