Feeding Columbus with Composite video

Featured Replies

Hi all, I have a little project to start thinking about, I am shortly going to order an Octavia vRS with the Columbus. I am a radio ham and one of the rigs I use in the car can output its display via a 3.5mm jack, I think its just composite video.

Am I right in thinking I just run a cable to the back of the Columbus with suitable connector? Obvious Q's are what plug do I need and info on removing the Columbus which I expect are on other threads. Can anyone see any obvious issues?

Cheers all.

I guess it will depend on if the video input is for an external AV Source or simply a reversing camera - if camera then I'd expect to display to be flipped (mirrored) so that could casue you some issues.

I've got it in my mind that Kufatec do a unit foe the WV version of the RNS510 that provides an AV input, but cab;t see it on their site at the moment.
