Does anyone have any recommendations on which auto fluid to choose? I know some people will have recommendations based on experience and knowledge. I see various references to VAG specs like the 505 series for motor oils. Anyone know what it is for a 2006 V6 TDi?

Also, anyone know what the atf capacity is?

I bought the filter from Europarts for around £16 so once I get the oild and gasket, I'm all set.

Looking at the link you posted it looks like about 5 litres, although I couldn't say for sure, sump pan looks like it will hold this sort of capacity, and remember to follow the instructions when refilling, especially the bit about engaging gears on idle speed only and then topping up with the engine running until it flows out.
