Vrs anti-roll bar on Elegance?

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I am having to replace the wishbone bushes and anti-roll bar bushes on my Fabia 100hp tdi and just wanted to know if it is worth upgrading to a vrs anti-roll bar to stiffen up the cornering a bit and if it is possible to change to a vrs roll bar?

Thanks in advance

Whilst it should be possible to do that, are you sure? Only reason I would consider upgrading the front is if I was fitting a jabba or whiteline rear bar too.

Solely fitting a stiffer front bar will increase understeer.

Hi,

I see what your saying about the understeer but surely a standard vrs doesn't have really bad understeer? I'm not sure about that as I have never driven one. I thought that a vrs bar is only slightly bigger than my one, I wasn't going to fit a 22mm bar so I asume I would still be ok and not have loads of understeer .

I may be wrong on all of the above so I am open to your thoughts.

:D

hahaha, the fabia is the king of understeer... it even worse than a mk3 golf and they are terrible for it...

anywho, i fitted a 22mm eibach anti-roll bar to my fabia and it didn't make a whole lot of difference i've i'm honest... the 21mm vrs anti-roll bar will fit the other models so long as you use the bushes from the vrs as well. the other thing worth doing is replacing the drop links at the same time whilst it's off

If you only change the FARB you will increase understeer. The vRS runs completely different springs and dampers, not forgetting that it sits a full 10mm lower than any other Fabia.
