Are the Reverse Sensors of the orig. Skoda aftermarket Kit identical to the factory fitted ones?

Featured Replies

Hi,

two of my Parking Sensors gave up a while ago and I didn't get it fixed, as I didn't think it was worth £200.

But recently I found someone on Ebay who was selling a complete & original Skoda aftermarket reverse sensor kit, and decided to take a risk. I won the Item for £37. The Item Number is BEA 500 001.

Does anyone know if I the Sensors will fit just fine and can be exchanged easily with the defect ones, or if any modifications are necessary?

If they fit just fine I will put 1 of the sensors back on Ebay to get my money back, as I saw someone selling a single Sensor for alomst £40 last week, and keep the rest of the Set as spares.

Cheers,

dsab

Have the same problem of faulty sensors and saw the same kit and nearly bid on it too but when I viewed the enlarged photos saw the part numbers were different so decided to give it a miss. The correct sensor part numbered are 3U0 919 275 suffixed either by A or B. Hope they do work for you, only way to find out is to plug one in to try it I guess.

Good luck

I couldn't read any part numbers from the pictures. I only know that the Set has the product code BEA 500 001. I guess I will have to wait and see...

If they don't look identical they will just be put back on Ebay. Can't loose a lot on it, I guess.

hahah i also bidded on these.!! i couldn't really make out he shape of the actual sensor. i think the part number quoted is for the whole kit, rather than the individual sensors..

i have however won a bid on some porsche sensors.. which apparently are the same, and are only £30 as opposed to £85 from the stealer...

will let you know if they fit...

Sorry for the late reply. Anyway, had the same problem, so the guys in Skoda service offered me original sensor 70 eur per piece (and I've had 3 dead) or a "after-market" (chinese :) ) set for 90 eur. And so far (2 years already) works ok. And also, I have now a display warnign also, with the sound :)
