Considering buying a 1.8T RS

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'm seriously considering trading my Audi A2 for an 1.8T RS Octavia. It's a nice looking Black, O4 model with FSH and 55,00miles, advertised by my local independant dealer at £4,450.

Does this seem reasonable? I was thinking it might even be too cheap which makes me wonder?

I see from the buying guide I should probably get the cambelt & water pump re-done.

Also, the car was idling at 1200 revs. Is this normal when the car is cold?

Any advice appreciated.

Thanks

sounds like a good deal

it will rev at 1200rpm when cold to warm cat up quicker etc etc

Seen the advert on Autotrader, looks fine, with a bit of luck the cambelt might have been changed @4 years though water pump is not always changed by dealers for some reason. If you could get them to change the belt and pump (if it hasn't been done) for that price would be a really good deal me thinks.

Thats a very good price imo go for it!

Mmm Ask fo advice then don't come back....nice

Maybe he had an accident on the way back from the dealers :peek:

maybe he bought it and is still out enjoying it? ;D
