Temp sensor

Featured Replies

Well i noticed my mpg had been dropping off abit of late so i serviced my car that improved it abit (well it run's better) so i ran vag-com and it came up with the temp sensor fault code.... got myself a new temp sensor fited cleared fault code and now my mpg is back to what it should be!!!!

Happy day's B)

(yes a faulty temp sensor can cause crappy mpg because its kaput and giving ecu stupid readings)

Yep, mine did the same thing. The engine is burning more fuel as it thinks it is running a lot colder than it really is.

Performance went  but economy went
