Why Sport Suspension Package is not possible in Superb Combi 2.0 TDI 170 4x4?

Featured Replies

Hi. Firstly, sorry for my bad english.

I´m from Spain. I have ordered a Skoda Superb Combi Exclusive 2.0 TDI 170 hp 4x4 the 8 of September.

Colour: Black Magic Pearl Effect.

Interior: Glamour black leather.

Extras: Lateral back airbags; Columbus Navigator; MDI connection; Mirage interior.

I couldn´t ordered one extra: the sport suspension package. The commercial told me that this extra is not available for the models with 4x4 (1.8 TSI and 170 TDI) except the 3.6 FSI. I confirm this information with the Central Office of Skoda in Spain. They said me that it is not possible to put the sport suspension package in the 4x4 models because of the "production line".

Is this correct??? Why is not posssible?? Is there any technical reason (incompatibilty with the 4x4)??.

It is a shame. I think that a 1.600 kg. car need a sport suspension.

Thanks so much.

Why would you want sport suspension ?

it's not a sports car - it's supposed to be a luxury car

Personally I prefer rigid (hard) suspension. Sport suspension also reduces in some milimeters the car´s heigth so it´s more safe (gravity centre is down below).

Combi is for those that want that farmer type experience, the combi range is fitted with lofty suspension so the car could do rough ground, sports suspension plian isn't suitable for rough ground, what you really want is a Superb VRS to be launched.

Whats the point, the combi is to ride rough roads, lowering it simply means you should've bought an SE or Elegance, strange people, hey, I just bought a bike, I'm fitting rotor blades to it cos I really wanted a helicopter, doh!!!
