Problem with Meridio at work

Featured Replies

Following an outage of the Meridio service at our location at the beginning of last week, when the service resumed people were having all sorts of problems.

I ended-up with my Sent E-Mails folder in Outlook having a partial directory structure from Meridio attached. It just didn't copy the folders and files from Meridio but actually cut them, appearing to remove the originals from the proper Meridio database (This file database is visble in Outlook and usual sits in the left-hand outlook pane below both sets of e-mail boxes). No other people in our team could see this aberration as it was within the domain of my account which they don't have the permissions to view. And whilst they have access to the proper Meridio structure, which is sited in an area where everybody has access permissions, they wouldn't know the files were missing as it is not the practice to manually maintain a master index of files per folder. Just so happens that the files that got erroneously attatched to my sent folder contain information about a possible legal action against the MOD.

When i raised a call with Dii Helpdesk (Atlas consortium contractors) they pushed it back on to the Ministry, saying they only updated the Meridio software and didn't alter the data structures. Helpfully, ignoring the fact that they own and maintain all the system hardware. So, no choice, the whole matter got reported to the Chief officer's IM.

After the outage, other people found that archived files retrieved from meridio came up in a format as if the archived E-mail/document was still being composed and hadn't been sent/issued i.e. the archived document was fully alterable throughout !!!! Talk about re-writing history !!!!

So what with my own broadband outage at home (Wednesday on) and threatened legal proceedings (Received saturday) from my home electricity supplier for an electricity bill for which i hadn't received an electronic notification of or a paper final demand and couldn't verify due to my broadband outage, it's been a very troublesome week , IT speaking of course.

Anybody else MOD wide had these sort of problems recently with Meridio (says he expecting the answer in the negative)

Not Ministry but a local government Meridio user here, and the best thing I can probably say about it is that I can't access it from remote locations which is where I spend 98% of my working time.

Bloomin nightmare stuff, we're still trying to iron out issues with Kainos.
