Window Sunblinds

Featured Replies

Anyone got these? are they a decent alternative to the blacked out windows my car never came with?

The set for the estate cost £174, they are listed as factory fit options and also appear in the accesories book, I noticed these whilst looking at the bootliners, so any info on the blinds greatfully received

Afew peeople do have these blinds installed. Ive been after a set for a while. But not enought to spend £100+

Great to keep sun off kids/animals in the back during those sunny days.

Also a great hide and seak game with threafs.. Easily removable (just a few clips) as well as the added bonus tohave the window down but still have the shade in place

As for as I know the factory fit (fully integrated in the doors) are not the same as the accessories. I tried to get the integrated ones for our Superb sedan 2010 modell, that came wtihout them, but this was a no go. Our new estate 2011 came with the fully integrated ones and they do the job quit nicely I think. We did not choose the sunset tainted windows this time because it makes the car so dark interiorwise it spoils more then it adds IMO. But Here in the North excessive sunshine is not that big a problem anyway, I felt the dark glass prevented me (and onlookers) from peeking into the car and marvel at the huge legroom in the back:-).

So, i don`t think you can get the fully integrated ones when not factoryfit in the first place. Aren`t the accessory ones just one of those "stick on`s" With one of those rubber "suckers?" :)

They don't look like the stick on style ones in the brochure picture and I would expect more for £174 too.

How do the factory ones work, do they roll up into the door frame or something?

And do the "accessory" ones have a frame instead?

Another question is, would the boot ones "3T9 064 363" include the rear/tailgate window or just the side ones?

I have ordered the factory fit blinds, from what I remember of the vehicle I saw some fitted in, they are integral with the doors and are factory fit only. There are some listed as dealer fit but not seen any of these.

I have the blinds from the accessories brochure. They completely fit the side windows and as a result look really good from the outside as they make the car look like a limousine with the dark windows. They are easy fit with a couple of rubber clips, so they can be left in place (as mine are) or easily removed. Well worth the money for the improvement to the appearance of the car let alone stopping the little one in the back from complaining about the sun, which he no longer does.

Thanks for the info. Do you get one for the back (tailgate) window too?

I've got the hatch (or saloon!) so unable to answer that one. But worth having a look at imo.

Got it, so at least I know what the factory fit ones look like now. They look good BTW - Thanks
