hi guy please some one help im pulling my hair out im sitting in me car 56 plate skoda 2.0 elegance starts ok sitting there if u put your hand on the steering wheel turn it it scritches as soon as you put your foot on the throttle it goes ive took it to a local garage and they changed the tensioner and auxilllary belt after about a week it come back again took it back and they said the belt had stretched? so they put a new one on again and it only lasted 2 weeks i haent took it back yet when u turn the steering wheel and look at the belt it does wobble as it is loose has anybody got any idea if this could be anything else causing this problem ive got a 2.0 elegance 56 plate would be gratfull for any help thanks :'( :'( :'(

Try this, get a tooth brush and put some washing up liquid on it, run it on the sides of the belt, if it stops and you've had a new belt already it will say either the alt pulley or the tensioner is shot, if it's over 80k it is very likely to be either or both of these.
