intresting reading any idea what size i need for my car ?

intresting reading any idea what size i need for my car ?

Of hand ..no.....just get an adjustable spanner or dif sizes or spannners to slide over the ARB...the one that just fits is the dia! B)

On a lot of the adverts it says the bushes are suitable for 00-05 cars. Does that mean there where revisions to the suspension layout after 05 or are the adverts just out of date?

Thanks.

Harry.

Look at my post:

http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/200949-upgrade-the-bushes/

Although I have all Powerflex (execpt engine mount)....I would not get all Powerflex again!! I Think that some of the Superpro ones are better designed......read my post before you buy!!! B)

What's wrong with Powerlfex? Your post, doesn't state the issue, rather it explains the designs of others?

Also, what's the udder mod? Briskoda's search is crap, and not much help....

Superpro is defo superior

Why?

Compounds are different and superpro don't change over time. I've had powerflex on the front wishbones and they are knocking.

Actually the udder mod is rubbish

That was Powerflex`s way of doing the job

but to be fair , they have changed the design of them , and have got a replacement full bush now

That had just come out as I left the tuning game

But as has been said , I had better luck with the Superpro range

This is because thier range differs between petrol and diesel engines

The diesel engines with Powerflex , can cause more vibration

I know one guy fitted a Powerflex bush to his Octy diesel , and his Mrs threattened to divorce him if he did not get t changed back

So it does make a difference

I must also admit , that I had all my Superpro bushes fitted as a tester for them

They are good , and if I had to put money on another set of bushes , then that is where they would go

My Fabia NEVER had the rear beam bushes changed either

So to be fair , is it worth buying a kit at that price if it is not required

The Cupra bush for me , is a good choice , but hey , if you are doing the rest in Superpr , or Powerflex , may be worth just doing the whole front end in them

Superpro for me too ;)

Please read my post again as I explain the designs of all of the bushes.....I do state that the front bush on the front wishbone "eats" the subframe....I also state that the rear beam axle bush needs a puller for it!! These are the two that I would not get by Powerflex!! B)

I did have the "udder" or "table" insert by Powerflex for the front console....I threaded the hole in the end of the hex rod on the wishbone and used an M12 stainless bolt and stainless repair washer...this combo held the insert on much better....actually held the OEM bush in place when one of the "web flanges" wore out!!! Now have their new two part console bush as can be fitted insitu (didn't want to remove the console)!! All of my bushes are Powerflex bar the engine mount (SuperPro)......but if I had time I would swap the two at the top of this post for SuperPro as better!!! B)

P.s......Powerflex, Whiteline, and SuperPro console bushes work in a much better way that the "Cupra" bush!!! (console unit)
