WARNING LIGHT..?

Featured Replies

Hi folks,

my car has developed a problem,

from starting the car and driving off im getting the red hand brake warning light flashing on and off for a few seconds and then it disappears.

what is this telling me? .....that i need to look at the hand brake cables? or something else?

thanks.

checked the brake fluid?

checked the brake fluid?

so i take it that the superb,s handbrake system is hydraulic.?

May I suggest reading the manual - you will learn a lot about your vehicle, most of your questions are pretty basic ones that will be covered in the manual.

No the handbrake system is not hydraulic, you need cables for it to pass the MOT.

Warning lights often have several reasons why they could of been triggered, low fluid is one of these, I am surprised this has not been picked up on the regular inspections that I was under the impression all taxi's had to undergo?

its all sorted nowemoticon-0148-yes.gif

embarrassingly its was the fluid level that was low.

i just couldnt tell if it was low due to the daft way skoda have housed plastic scuttle panel around the fluid reservoir.

but hey, all sorted nowemoticon-0148-yes.gif
