WTF?! The official Skoda option is £34 for a cargo net to fit an Octavia Mk II estate - seems a bit steep for a pair of fishnet tights! Can anyone suggest an alternative? Tried eBay - nothing. Some place called Care4Cars do a reasonable looking option but will it fit?

I did go through a lot of these 3rd party options (originally started looking for official Skoda items) - has anyone actually bought one of these alternatives for their Octavia estate? Or is it really much of a muchness for this kind of netting - I guess the hooks should all fit the lashing points in the boot.

Off to wash all the bird **** off the car now!

They're all pretty similar-just watch the hook sizes,some plastic ones are quite bulky & won't go through the floor mounted 'eyes'. I actually have some Peugeot ones in mine at present...

Halfords should have them?

Thanks to all for the advice (and a big cheers to ramonford for the offer - sounds like I was beaten to it by speedy wardth). Is it always as friendly as this or have I just been cut some slack as a 'newbie' ?!

My whinging has borne some unexpected fruit - colleague overheard & guess what he has stashed in the garage since he bought his hatch? Where's the jammy so & so smiley? Anyway, will cost us a box of beers but that will do nicely - wonder what else he's got to donate?
