passenger side halfshaft

Hi lads & lassies, can anybody please tell me if changing the inner cv joint on my 07 1,9 tdi dsg is a big job,it looks quite straight forward .... remove 6-8 big tx bolts from gearbox, loosen hub nut, remove 16mm nuts from under ball joint, hammer here and there and drive shaft is free !! yes i know, it all sounds too simple... is there special tools needed? how do i safely seperate inner cv from shaft? is there any pitfalls or anything that i need to pay special attention to.
