Quick question - Steel wheels

Featured Replies

16x7 - Steel wheels on a VRS Mk2 (None FL) 5 x 112, et=?

What offset will be best for this combo? is it about 38 or 45?

ET45 would be OK.

Okydokey.. 45 it is then eheh

Spankyou

38's a bit low really; the lower the number the further out they'll sit in the arch.

OEM vRS wheels are ET54 IIRC.

On a facelift vRS the OEM wheels are ET51. If you have a look on www.willtheyfit.com you can see the difference it makes - a 7Jx16 wheel with ET38 and 205/55/16 tyres will hardly stick out any further than the standard 225/40/18 tyres on a 7.5Jx18 wheel, and some folk on here like to use 10mm spacers on the standard wheels to fill the arches out better.

For reference the spare wheel that comes with a vRS is is a 6.5J x 16, offset (ET) is 50, the PCD is 5 x 112 and the part number of the wheel is 1K0 601 027A.
