DSG issue

Well it's finally happened! My car has just given it's first hint that all is not well in the gearbox dept.

Driving this evening at urban speeds (4th or 5th gear) when the PRNDS started to flash and car wouldn't shift up or down the 'box.

I stopped the car, switched off ignition and then back on and all is normal.

Car has gotten louder in the last week or so, like a bearing grumble but I don't know if it's connected to this latest problem or not.

I'll be taking car to the dealer tomorrow but has anyone come across this? Car has 252k km up.

Not much help there Jonny boy! they've been known to run to 500k once they're looked after.

I've had this before. Like it went into limp mode. No problems since and the dealer never found anything.

it helps a bit more if he puts it in the octavia section

Had a chat with the dealer this morning and that's pretty much what he said. Ah well, we'll keep trucking so.
