wing mirror, trying to replace indicator lens

Featured Replies

hi,

have a 2010 superb elegance with the heated and dimming mirrors.

have had no trouble removing mirror, but once out i unscrewed the torx screws of the cracked lens i could not pop it out. didn't want to push it too hard.

do i also have to remove the black plastic bottom cover, or the colour coded top cover?

thanks.

I have done this very job today on mine, yes you do have to prise off the black cover from the bottom of the wing mirror, this can only be done if all 4 torx screws are taken out, I had to use a wide flat bladed screwdriver to prise it off then the two clips inside on the indicator lens have to be released, again with the flat screwdriver. Its a bit nervewracking at first but it all goes back together quite easily.
