My Superb Elegance Greenline was delivered on Monday morning. It is a company car but we get a choice (within reason) of cars and having previously had 3 trouble free years with an Octavia I was confident in my choice. With the cost of fuel and Company Car Tax rising I want a car that is not only going to look good, have an executive feel about it and have the gadgets like HDD and sat nav etc. but is going to be economical.

Thie first week has really been a baptism of fire for the car with a road trip starting I'm Tamworth going to Ipswich, Canterbury, Bexhill on sea, Hove, Horsham and finally back home to Tamworth. This was a round trip over two days and covered motorways, A roads, B roads and city driving. I have used 3/4 of a tank on this trip and the on board computer is saying 62.9 mpg.

I have to say the Superb really lives up to its name, it has performed impeccably on this trip. It does not feel like a 1.6 engine, it has plenty of power to cruise along at 70 - 80 quite comfortably yet feels quick and responsive on the twisty lanes.

This has problably been one of the wettest weeks on record so the car now needs a good wash, I will try to post some pictures when it is cleaned.

All in all I am looking forward to many happy hours behind the wheel of this Superb car.

Sounds like you've made the right choice Knappy!

Glad you are happy with the car.

Christ how many miles do you do in a year.anyway enjoy your new car ,the superb must be the best car in the world?

Glad your happy with it. The engine feels more powerful than you first expected - I was the same. It feels very capable at motorway speeds.

I went from Old Trafford to Stansted Airport on Sunday afternoon. It was effortless really. The seat was very comfortable and the driving postition was perfect.

440 miles without any aches.
