Hi all

I am getting sick of my car. Only 2 weeks ago, sorted the drivers side. It was the sunroof.

Took out one of the bungs at the battery compartment. Today noticed everything in the glove box compartment was very damp and the passenger footwell is also wet.

Now what could be causing this!, really fed up as the car stinks

common problem, you need to regularly clear out under the scuttle panel, and make sure drain holes are clear

Search for 'water ingress'. It wont make happy reading I'm afraid, but there are fixes for further prevention of the problem.

You need to get under the carpet in the rear passenger footwell and check the convenience module for water damage, too. It might not be too late

All sorted, stupid seal was perished at the pollen filter.

17 quid for the tray and 30 quid labour. Hopefully, no more leaks!

I find it amazing that you have been on here for 3 years and not come across this issue on here before .... it's the most common fault with the MKI Superb.

Now that it is all cured of the water ingress keep an eye on any interior lights, puddle lights in the door mirrors, windows or central locking issues, these are all problems caused when the CECM floods due to the water ingress.
