Engine noise 170 Superb

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Just a quick one to see did anyone have a similar problem, a noise has developed in my car that sounds quite tinny. I would described it like a toned down version of the noise you would get with worn brake pads.

I brought it to Pilsen Auto who dealt with me straight away and identified the problem after a test drive. The mechanic said he has seen it once before on a Superb and it is related to a timing issue in the injectors. Was informed that Skoda has issued a TPI on it but they istructed that no action be taken.

Rang Skoda customer care and they couldn't really see why i had a problem if the car was running fine and had no loss of power. I tried to explain that it is obviously a fault some where as the problem is only recently after coming into the car. They said they would invesitgate further and come back to me. got off the phone less then hopeful.

Anyone else have a similar issue?
