Skoda Tudor

Featured Replies

any of you recon the skoda tudor may have not been put into production because it looks simular to the bently continental GT? just a random idea!

I think it was put out to test the publics reaction to the shape of the GT/Tudor.

If you look at side images of ther Tudor it looks very cut and shut.

I always hoped Skoda would produce the Tudor, but for now you've only got the new VRS's and the stupidly names Roomster to look forward too!

Bit of a daft name for it (they seem to be coming out with some daft names recently) but I like that a lot.

A nice V6 in that would do nicely.

Ws there a spec for the Tudor? What floorpan etc? It looks alright to me-I'd have one.

IIRC it's a name of historical significance - the original Tudor was built after the war, and was a large opulent car.

Skoda seem reluctant to try out new names, and instead would rather reference historical cars which no one can remember...

"The classic sports coupe Tudor combines the comfort of a luxury limousine with sports ferocity supported by extraordinary power. The timelessly elegant automobile is based on the Superb model. It has a low, sports tuned chassis and a six-cylinder engine of output 142 kW under the bonnet.

Two gradually rising lines accentuates the dynamic wedge-shaped side profile. The typical sharp trim of the rear side window is even sharper; the rear lights are also a new paraphrase on the typical shape elements of the

I mean what I'm about to type in the nicest possible way.

 To be honest I find that a dissapointing comment to make.

As I'm sure most of you know,Skoda has a long heritage, which it would seem from the fact they are using the old names they are very proud of. From what I've seen on this site most of you are very keen to praise the newer VW Skodas, which is great as they are without a doubt excellent cars. Let's remember though that there were lot's of Skodas before VW which were also great cars. In fact before the war Skoda was a prestige car maker.
