Fabia vrs front door electrical connection plugs

Featured Replies

Does anyone happen to know what each of the connector blocks behind the door carrier operate and/or whether or not the plug for the central locking controls anything else?

The reason I ask is I took the door carrier off last weekend to reseal the door and now the locking mechanism doesn't operate (can't hear it when I operate the c/l and the door will not lock). I can't be 100% sure I introduced the problem doing this job but it was a right ball ache to remove the carrier and I don't want to remove it if I can eliminate an insecure plug by checking something else fed by this block. I have already checked that everything else on the door functions correctly.

Failing the above, does anyone have any ideas what else it could be?

All sorted now - it was the plug after all; couldn't have been fully home when I refitted it. If anyone gets this in future the symptoms were the associated door wouldn't lock and the red light on both doors would not illuminate when that door was opened (but would if you open the other side).

All I can say is plumbers gold is good stuff as it was a nightmare to break the seal

I destroyed a lock mech thanks to that damn plug!
