Exhaust pressure sensor fault

Featured Replies

Hi There

I have a Skoda Superb 2.0 Tdi 2006 year. Recently the MIL light turned on. From time to time it kept turning off and coming back on again. I scanned the faults and got:

"P0473 Exhaust pressure sensor: high - Value of resistance too great"

"P0471 Exhaust pressure sensor: range/performance - Power supply"

Now this car doesn’t have the DPF it was taken out because it had completely gone. The regeneration process as I understood was turned off in the ECU.

Yesterday the DPF light came on and the engine started limiting RPM to 2000 but when I turn the car off and on it was back to normal.

My question what is the role of the Exhaust pressure sensor regarding the DPF? And if I replace the sensor would this problem be sorted out?

I know this isn’t a normal case but any help would be appreciated.
