How does this work? I have gone from 18" wheels to  205 55 16`s, and it`s set to dynamic at the moment. I think that the offset is 45. Cheers

Isn't the maxidot winter tyre setting just a warning if you hit a pre-set speed? 

 

From the manual for my Octavia vRS

Winter tyres
Here you can set at which speed a warning signal should sound. This function is used
for e.g winter tyres with the permissible maximum speed less than the maximum
speed of the vehicle.
When exceeding the speed, the following is displayed on the information display*:
Winter tyres max. speed ... mph
