i have a 2006 2.0 tdi but ive noticed the engine is quite loud compared to my passat 2.0 tdi and makes like a wheel bearing whining noise when in motion , it could be a wheel bearing lol but sounds like the middle of the car maybe gearbox ?

Depending on the yr of the Passat, it might be a CR rather than the PD of your Superb :)

both the passat and superb are 2006 (the passat is now dead)
