Drive an Octy 1.9 TDi Combi (1999)

Recently I tested the waterproofness of the ECU. I noticed that when cornering there was someone taking a bath inside the dashboard. At least that's how it sounded like.

I checked the engine side just to find out that the space under the scuttle panel was full of water. The ECU was practically submerged. This was caused by tree leaves clogging the drain holes and a thunderstorm in the night.

Cleared the drains and off it poured. This was three days ago and so far everything works fine. (Terrified by the thought of slowly advancing deadly corrosion...)

Anyway, at the moment I think they really know how to seal things in the Skoda factory. :)

Welcome!
