Hi all,

Just had my 03 place octavia vrs Cambelt/water pump changed, and noticed on the way home that the power steering pump seems noisy.

There is a whining noise that varies with rpm, barely noticeable with no steering lock on, but gets louder/whinier with more lock. This wasn't there before it went in the garage.

Has anyone got any pointers to the problem? If it's just a coincidence so be it, but I suspect that something may have been done by the garage.

It might just need bled. I think the resovoir needs to be removed to fit the belt. Just check your level, turn the wheel lock to lock, top up a few times that'll be it.

Got the same problem but wen my belt was changed I think my pressure pipe got damaged so I've replaced it but the noise is still there
