Anyone had thoughts if GTI MKVI side skirts fit to Octavia 3 VRS?

That's interesting - I have been thinking of doing that. I have a set that I never got around to putting on my Mkvi. I have yet to get a vRS (it's on order) but have tried the side skirt against a vRS in the car yard and they certainly fit very well. The only thing that doesn't align are the two mounting brackets underneath the car that bottom edge of the side skirt screws into. I don't think that is a show stopper however. I am not expected to pick my Skoda up until June/July so will not be able to consider this further till then.

I like the GTi side skirts myself and think they would look good on the vRS but obviously that is a personal opinion and many others may not agree.

Rob_e on the Mk2 forum put Mk6 GTI skirts on his Mk2 vRS and they looked really good. Probably be a similar story for the Mk7 ones on a Mk3 vRS.

Not sure how they attach on the Golf, possible they are just bonded on but expect given the similar floorpan structure they'll fit an Octavia reasonably well or certainly be made to.

I think its one thing the Mk3 is missing.

Lucmor444, nice to be in position of having skirts and waiting for the car,  for most it's the other way round and left wondering do I buy, find they don'y fit and then have to re-sell.  That said, as pipsyp says as they are both MQB platform why shouldn't they fit.  Considering!

Just to clarify Q7Durif, the Mkvi is not built on the MQB platform however the sill shape of the Octavia looks to match the sill shape of the Golf. The fit of the side skirts on the Octavia in matching that sill shape was perfect when I tried it.

VW attaches the side skirts to the Golf with a series of bolts to which the skirt slides onto and is then kept in place by screws at the bottom. If I attach the skirts to the Octavia I would forego using these bolts and use a combination of screws on the bottom, double sided 3M automotive tape and adhesive (sika flex 252).

Geting carried away, the MKVII is, sorry for the mistake.  Looking at many variations, yes, it does appear that the sill profile is similar if not the same.  Should I take the plunge and go for Golt sill skirts?  Uuuhhhmmm?
