Radiator Removal

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I have a crack in my rad and need to replace it over the weekend.

Has anyone done this before and is it a complex task? Ideally i am looking for a guide or some guidance on where to do it. I found a guide for the bumper removal which is pretty straight forward.

One last question - how much coolant do i need to top it up? I have 5lt of G12, is that enough?

Many thanks

Am going to be doing this myself soon.

Have you seen Nackuk's photo set?

You can buy the factory manuals from Skoda ERWIN, which has all the tightening torques.  £5 gets enough time to download all the PDF's.

If you have an auto then beware that the radiators I've seen don't come with the two seals for the transmission fluid lines, which are marked as single use.  I picked them up from TPS.
