Just for info, Mister Auto is currently doing a deal on 5 litres of Castrol Edge 507.00 oil for £29.68, which is a really good price for a top spec oil and note that it is also five litres not the four litres that seem more common in the UK.

 

As the 2.5 TDI takes a little more than 5 litres when changing, this is the one to get.

 

There is free delivery on orders above £39, so I also bought a well priced 5l container of Castrol semi synthetic for the Jazz as well.

ECP was doing BOGOF with code 'FREEOIL3' yesterday not sure if it's still on today. 507 QL or QX whatever it is stuff was £34 for 10 litres delivered 

Well spotted that man .... couldn't resist trying the code and sure enough, I now have another 10 litres of 507.00 oil on its way.

 

Note to wife .... it doesn't go off and doesn't cost anything to keep on the shelf.

Well Mister oil not a happy bunny. Placed the order on the 29th Dec, they took my money on the 30th Dec, now waiting for the oil to be delivered.

Got an email today that they are in the process of accepting my order being cancelled.

I DID NOT cancel the order, Mister oil did the cancelling. I ring them where they state that they are refunded my cancelled order. Eventually they admit that they did not have any stock for the order!!!

They state that the money has been returned well not at the moment it has not. They did not accept that they could have email me to state they would be returning my money as they had under estimated the order.

Very poor service indeed.

The BOGOF oil has turned up from ECP - 10 litres of QX 507.00 for the price of 5 litres.

 

The Castrol from Mister Auto is apparently on it's way, but it always takes a while as I think it's coming from Belgium.

 

I've used Mister Auto once before when I replaced all the brake discs and pads with Bosch units .... good price and a good product.

I got the BOGOF from ECP it arrived via free delivery in two days, that is good service. At least they had the stock before placing the offer.

Ironically Mister - oil sent me a customer satisfaction survey form. I filled it in with all the details.
