Rear Door Locks Not Working

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I am looking on selling my Superb over the next month and I want to get the rear door locks working before I do! they haven't worked for some time and its not really been a problem as they can be locked and unlocked from the inside.

Basically on the fob or the drivers door control panel neither of the back doors lock or unlock. I have checked the fuses and they appear find. I have also checked the wiring looms going into each rear door and there are no breaks.

I initially had a water ingress problem which I repaired about 2 years ago, a few months later the locks stopped working.

As there is no noise coming from either motor I suspect this could be a wiring problem? where else can I check for breaks?

when I had a look at the loom going into the pillar there are two plugs, is the top one for the door lock mechanism? if so can I check for voltage there?

Thanks in advance
