Looking for some advice, my 63 plate Vrs Tdi has had 2 coolant overheats in 3 days, the first set off the warning lamp, i slowed straight away and the temp returned to normal immediately, i continued on my journey for another 15 mins on the Mway with no further issues before i got home.

Tonight on a short country road journey it started to creep beyond normal range, so i slowed down again and after a minute or so it returned to normal range, again with no further issues before i got home.

I dont drive hard. The car has done 50000 miles with no issues since i took ownership.

Any advice much appreciated

There have been several posts of a similar nature to yours. If memory serves me, its a faulty water pump, covered under warranty.
