split rear seats ??

Featured Replies

I have a superb myself (1.9TDI comfort) and very impressed i am with it, however a friend is also looking to buy one, he would like to know from which registration and month /year the split folding rear seats were fitted, can anyone answer this ACCURATELY please, thank you.

Accuracy is going to be a problem because it does not depend upon date of first registration. It depends upon build date instead. The registration date may be anything from soon after that to several months after. I think that it was about May 2005, but if you need it more accurate than that you will need to ask the dealer.

From another tread on the Superb forum it appears that split rear seats were introduced on cars built from mid May 2004. My 54 reg (Nov 2004) has them. Some very late 04 plates may have them.

It might be dangerous to assume that all 54 reg cars have them as early registrations might be from old stock.

It seems really stupid to me that on a car this size, regardless of build date, that all Superbs don't have split rear seats!!

It has a massive boot but there is always something that is that little too big that now won't fit in the Superb!!

Lucky for those of you that do have it, wish I did!!

Mine s 05 and has split rear seats....very handy

I wish mine had them too! Mines on an 04 plate, but was registered in March 04 by the dealer.
