Featured Replies

hi peeps...

my first little prob with my baby.

before i trawl through the big car book  thought i would ask here first.

light for my interior chrome handle.

where is it...and how the hell do you change it ?

and my boot one has gone as well....tonite....of all times....canny find it either....

....this will be an intresting sun morning friends.

anyone ?

By chrome handle - do you mean the door handles. If so it is a little LED built into the bottom of the surround. Only comes on when you have the lights on the car. Changing it will probably mean prising the handle meachnaism off but not sure how and also not sure if the LED is replaceable.

Wouldn't expect for the LED to go in the door handle!! Sure it's not a fuse or a connection problem?

If you need to change it however then I would have thought you would need to remove the door card in order to gain access to the back of the door handle.

Which boot one has gone? Interior or external number plate lamps?

hi m8.... canny see it being 1 fuse per door handle

and boot...interior one has gone......seems odd the 2 went together...really odd

On my 03 plate Elegance, all the internal lighting and the central locking unit are on the 1 fuse (fuse 14).

As far as the internal boot lid is concerned, watch for a potential tricky one! This light automatically extinguishes around 60 seconds after the lid has been opened - even if the lid is left open.

Mind you, the boot is big enough for me to put the Cloch Lighthouse inside leaving plenty of room for luggage.......:)

Have to agree with that comment.

I retro fitted three white LED's into the boot to illuminate it more and as stated above they partly go off after a certain time period of the boot being open.

As for the door handle illumination, have you checked all the fuses anyway?
