'Include trailer' option on Columbus Navigation

On the Columbus Infotainment, following 'Settings - route options - include trailer' is the option to select a trailer for the Navigation.

Unfortunately I only discovered this after driving down a very narrow lane with a trailer on the back of my 2017 Superb.

Is this function any good and does it effectively select suitable routes for trailers / caravans?

I have noticed that there are specific Sat Navs on the market for caravans / motor homes but are quite expensive and don't want to fork out unnecessary money if the in car system does the job well.
