Dent repair

Featured Replies

So was just getting my son out of my car at the weekend and noticed this dent/scratch on my rear passenger car door. Sigh.

anyway the car is on PCP finance and still got a couple of years to run.

What’s the best option re getting repaired? I’m in North Wales around the Conwy area if anyone can recommend someone locally.

There are specialists in dent repairs, usually much quicker and much cheaper than dealer or bodyshop

They can repair to lease / PCP return standards, usually by just doing the affected area rather than whole panel

Ouch. Many bodyshops can do 'SMART' repairs that will handle the dent, but for a decent finish they'll probably need to repaint along the length of the door panel between the edges and the high-curvature swage line. I'd expect to pay in the region of £200 for this.

Happily the Tech Moves on and the training and skills of Operatives and Spot / Smart repairs can be localised.

Not only decent finishes but to acceptable 'Factory standards' can be done without spraying whole panels.

(Time served painter here.) I expect to get a few quotes from different people but none from a Dealership that uses 'contractors', just cut out the middle man / women,

other than ask who they use for cars prep or repairs.
