Possible to replace the window seal trims?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

New member and a proud new owner of a used 2015 Rapid Spaceback.

I’m wondering if any members have advice on replacing the window seal trims? They’re beginning to crumble a bit and are starting to look a bit crud in places. I’ve looked online and can’t seem to find an easy option to buy them. Wondered if anyone had advice on how to replace the seals and maybe where to buy them from?

Thanks!

Could you be a bit more precise which trims?

Hi @Tech1e thanks for your reply! New to this, but it’s the exterior rubber seals at the base of the windows. Example image attached as ref to help (image shown not my car).

Thanks

Ahh ok. Often referred to as the scraper seal. They aren’t expensive from Skoda normally and simply pop up with a suitable trim tool

Cheers for your reply @Tech1e. I’ve had a look today and found the following website which seems to sell the seal. Is this a site members here are familiar with and recommend?! Again, being new to Skoda I don’t really have much of an idea. Any experienced folk out there know if this is indeed what I’m after and if it’ll fit the Spaceback model (site doesn’t specifically mention Spaceback, just Rapid) 🤔

Use Briskoda parts

Hi, I am doing the same job on a rear window on my MK3 estate.  So you can pop them up without needing to remove the door card?  I have the new seal and the hook looks like it will engage well, which worries me in pulling it up...
