I am new on here - only signed up today. Never owned a Skoda, but have been very impressed by reviews. Am about to sell my BMW 525. Too expensive to run now that I'm retired. Thinking of buying an Octavia, possibly a diesel with the DSG auto box. Any thoughts from you owners?

I own a petrol Fabia, so I'm no use at all about Octavias. However...

To help you find your way around the site, there is an Octavia forum with lots of information, which you can click on under the "Maintenance and Performance" heading, on the main menu page.

Also, because you are thinking of changing your car, you could ask what people think in the "General Car Chat" forum. This is on the main forums page also; it is shown under "Off Topic and Chit Chat" heading.
