Hole in the firewall for subwoofer power cable

Featured Replies

Hey!

I want to install a subwoofer in the drunk but I can't find a spot for the power cable to go through the firewall. I would greatly appreciate if someone who has experience with this to lead me in the right direction because I'm lost after spending an hour trying to poke myself through.

Never mind. I figured it out.

I was originally looking for a spot on the right side where you have the battery but all the openings were either difficult to access or already in use. There were not a lot of options to begin with. Anyway I had to rout the wire from battery to the left side of the engine bay. And on the left side behind the strut tower there is one rubber plug that can be easily removed and the opening leads directly into the passenger compartment.

You can make a hole into the rubber plug to pull the cable throught it and have a nice sealed hole.

Ofcourse if you want to do it this way you have to remove the glovebox in order to get access to this opening from the inside.
