Replacing Fascia around heater/ac controls

Featured Replies

I took delivery of my otherwise nigh on perfect 61 reg Monte Carlo last night, however there is one bad point.  There is some damage around the heater controls.  It looks like a cigarette burn or a screw hole that someone has tried to bodge a fix with a hot spoon.  Getting hold of the surround doesn't look like it'll be a problem, but I'm just wondering if there's any obvious easy technique to removing it, before I accidentally chew up the surrounding plastic lol. obviously it won't really matter how badly I damage the already damaged piece itself.

Remove the 2 side trims, the one on one side has the rear window dimister switch in it, then carefully prize the facia off.

I actually found just that page you’ve posted literally just minutes  before you posted it 🙂

Comes out nice and easy once you know the technique.  I’m off to eBay to find a new heater surround piece. 🙂
