rattle noise in the cabin

Featured Replies

Iam a bit picky and I hate rattling noises and I own a scala for almost 2 months now and since first week I have noticed that there are two types of rattling noise in the cabin the first one is from the housing of the dimming rear view mirror on low speeds or if you played a frequency of 83 Hz through your speakers ,the second one is rattling noise with high base from the driver window switch key or when playing frequency of 72 through the speakers ,Has any one faced any issues with rattling noise from those 2 places and If so, what is the solution for those noises ?

Hello.

I admire the precision of your frequency testing.

If you can find exactly what is rattling, then damping it would seem to be the way forward.

There are an endless variety of ways of doing this, but a cheap and easily reversible method might be to use some nano tape.

It's sticky and rubbery and can be removed without leaving a mark. So it will lock things in place nicely and not allow them to vibrate, but won't form a bond that you can't remove later.
