Codes found, need to know what they are

Featured Replies

Hello everyone!

I bought an used car from 2018 and they told me that the car was untouched, factory settings. And then I found this menu and codes inside them. Can someone explain me what they are? Thanks in advanced!

I cannot tell you what exactly each code is for, but they are for licensing functions, like Navigation/Android Auto/Apple Carply etc...

They are called swap codes for the nav system

Not all will be active/inactive and it all depends on how the vehicle was spec’d from the factory.

It it also not a job of wanting all enabled for extra features - some will be things like Australian maps and other things you don’t want in the U.K.

FYI: SWAP stands for Software as Product - much like what BMW announced with their heated seats - all the hardware is there but the software needs enabling.

Thank you both @varooomand @ApertureS for your answers. For a moment I though that I bought the car with some tweaks done already.
