Title: MIB2 Toolbox / Developer Mode not working on MST2_EU_SK_ZR_P0480T (Octavia 2017, Finland)Title: MIB2 Toolbox / Developer

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I have a 2017 Skoda Octavia with firmware version MST2_EU_SK_ZR_P0480T (I’m located in Finland).

I’ve been trying to activate Developer Mode (Green Engineering Menu) and install MIB2 Toolbox, but the system keeps showing this error:

“Error: No data available. Please insert a source with software update data or check the source.”

Here’s what I have already tried:

Used several SD cards (formatted FAT32)

Placed the folder MST2_EU_SK_ZR_P0480T correctly in root with metainfo2.txt and all Toolbox files

Tried enabling Developer Mode via script (enable_developer_mode.sh)

Attempted manual update through the “Update software” menu – same error every time

The unit refuses to read any SD update.

Bluetooth and Android Auto stopped working right after inserting another USB drive earlier, so I suspect some firmware issue or partial corruption.

Does anyone know if this firmware (P0480T) is locked, and if there’s a signed MIB2 Toolbox or any other safe way to re-enable Developer Mode or Bluetooth?

I’m attaching screenshots of the on-screen error messages for reference.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated 🙏

— Thanks in advance!

“Error: No data available. Please insert a source with software update data or check the source.”

This is usually an indication that the unit doesn't see any files on your sd card. I hope you're not making the basic mistake of placing the folder on the sd card because the unit will not recognise anything if it's contained in a folder. You must only copy the bare files or the folder contents to the sd card.

Thank you for that, I will try it soon.
