Hi, i was just wondering if anyone used a 1.8T superb to tow a caravan and how they get on, I know 2.5 V6 TDi won the 2003 tow car of the year and the 1.8T got a good write up but I was wondering if anyone had experience towing with a 1.8T

I used to also tow with an Octavia vRS, and the engine was good at towing. The downside to the Octy was its car to caravan weight ratio. With the Superb being a heavier car, this will be much better, even with 30 bhp less.

TBH, it will be more suited that the vRS for towing.

As far as towing is concerned the Superb is very stable and tows like a dream.....I have the 1.9pd tdi so can't comment on the engine side......as mine does between 26 and 30mpg towing I would expect some low mpg figures though.

Does anyone want a FREE tow bar? It was on my Octy vRS when I bought it. Collection only due to the weight of the the thing.............
