Hi

Have just joined and hoping to find more info on my car. Bought new in 03 I went for a nice yellow one as I detest silver and black and wanted a change from red which I seemed to end up on my prevous cars ( Rover 420 GSI Turbo ). I have had good reliability up to now when I seem to have had two minor faults appear.

The first as I see from your forum is not unknown. The door open light come on and off as the car bumps along. The flashing is starting to wear at me. The other is the indicators will sometimes stop working. on reset they work perfectly again. Can anyone help with these faults.

I am thinking of changing my exhaust system. Does the Milltech system really work

Hi Mate

Yes the Milltek does work

Gives a nice sound too , then there is also the non resonated system that give a bit more noise

The indicators could be the hazzard warning light switch

That is where the usual problem lies

Do a search and that could help you

Welcome to the forum....its great :D

Take care

Sarah

Welcome to Briskoda

Hiya.

Can't help with either problem, except to say that Sarah knows her stuff when it comes to cars.

Hi Thanks for the help . It was the hazard flasher. Its now changed and working. The door open light seems to be something on the hatchback door. It it comes on I just flick the little orange button on the rear lock and it stays off for a little while. I have had the rear cover off and waggled all of the wiring but nothing happened. I have scratched my head and have only lost some more hair. Any ideas out there

Sounds like the problem is with the microswitch on the hatch. If it's like the estate, I think it's built into the lock/catch mechanism (mechanical, not key barrel).
