ocatvia 2001 hatch

Featured Replies

hi i recently got given a 2001 classic sdi which straight away i noticed the rear drivers side footwell was saturated, dried it out and looked on here but i had blocked drian holes and it was leaking in via the pollen filter housing.

booked the car in to the valeters and had it all shampoed and wetvaccumed. and washed and polished

picked up the car and checked footwells and they seemed dry.driving the car home i had gone up a hill and shortly after reached into the back footwell whilst driving to find the footwell soaked again.

the door card has never been off as my mom owned the car before me so i know the membane is fine but the drivers window mechanism appears to be lose as it rattles when door is shut. the leak justappeared from nowhere does any body have any ideas ie door seals ect cos i really have looked everywhere an cannot tracr it also i dont have a sunroof so its not that also no air con.

Hiya.

Not trying to be funny, but are you sure the sound deadening under the carpet was dried out? I had a similar problem with another car, and this can take weeks!

If it was properly dried out, I'd check the drain plugs uder the floor, and any membrane seals in the rear wheel arches.

No idea about the window mech though.
