door arm rest rattle

Featured Replies

Hi,

the passenger door handle/arm rest (the bit with the leccy window control on it) seems to rattle due to the bass from the speakers.

Im talking about minimal bass here, like someone with a deep voice on the radio, the armrest is vibrating like mad.

Anyone know a way of dampening it ?(without having to lower the volume or bass to zero). I was wondering whether the plastic is clipped on, in which case i could probably jam a piece of card in somewhere to stiffen it up.

cheers

The armrest top itself slides forwards and backwards if the front switch panel isn't properly located.

The switch panel has a hook type arrangement behind it and a clip type arrangement on the front. The clips are horrible |_| shaped ones with a hole in the middle. Either the hooks or the clips can wear/weaken with removal and not sit right again.

Blue tack may be your friend.
