Hi, can anyone tell me where the "ALARM BATTERY"is and is it is easy to replace it,

Pete, I have a copy of the VAG manual descibing the changing of the alarm battery. It's in the plenum chamber and you need to remove the vehicle battery to get to it. I'll find it tomorrow if you need more details.

OK found it. (section 94-12 page 1)

Alarm horn and its battery are combined (they say).

Remove plenum cover (incorrectly described as "cooling water tank cover")

Remove battery

Unscrew bolt 1 (alarm horn bracket to bulkhead)

Remove horn and bracket and unplug connector

Separate horn from bracket (screw 4)

Hope this helps - it sounds dead easy. Clean out the plenum drains (1 under battery, one under servo) whilst you're in there.
